At 70 cm wide like the compact model, this version gains in depth: the shelves hold more products, which increases the displayed volume and the restocking autonomy. On a wall run where the width is counted, it is a clever way to enrich the offer without changing the layout.
Like any open display, it relies on immediate access: the customer sees, takes, goes to the till, without the barrier of a door. This reflex favours the impulse purchase, ideal for the drinks, packaged charcuterie, dairy products, industrial pastries and takeaway preparations of a convenience store or a local shop.
The extra depth is not only for displaying: it lets you load more stock behind the first row, and therefore space out the restocking in the middle of service. Apply the first in, first out rule (FIFO) by pushing the recent products behind the older ones: you limit waste and always serve fresh products. On a dynamic section, this gain in autonomy avoids the stock-outs at peak times and smooths the work of the team.
The open one favours quick service and impulse, at the cost of a higher consumption (no door to retain the cold). The closed one (glass doors) reduces the energy bill and targets large volumes. For a dynamic local fresh section, the deep open version offers a good capacity / access compromise.
